The Rams introduce another defibrillator. It’s quite a hike from the clubhouse down to fields 2 and 3 so we’ve purchased another defibrillator and created a first aid station. The new defibrillator, injury ice, a first aid kit and sunscreen are all housed under a dedicated medical marquee. It is largely self serve as we have yet to find a volunteer to man the facility but it is a great addition nonetheless. Particularly so given a recent Nine News report on the affects of Long COVID. Long COVID affects community sports players (9news.com.au) The Rams encourage all of our Over 35s and 45s to consider their fitness and consult with their medical professional. The Rams would also like to acknowledge the NSW Government who covered half the cost of the defibrillator through their NSW Office of Sport Local Defibrillator grants program.

East Gosford Rams Senior League Football Teams Our men are currently competing in the Division 1 League and our young women are competing in the Central Coast Unity Bank Women’s Premier League. With the backing of some terrific sponsors we wish both squads every success for season 2022.
News Women’s The girls had a bye this round and head up North to the home of the Wyong Emus, Baker Park. In a very exciting competition, we are sitting in third place behind Terrigal with one single goal being the difference between the two teams. Amazing! Good luck! Men’s We hosted Toukley who fielded a second strength team in reserves. They apparently have 15 players missing from their squad so we did the only thing we could do and that was give it to them! 1sts had a tougher mission as the Gunners were keen to break us down. Their typical physicality was alive and well but we soaked up the punishment and played our football which delivered the goods. Reserves 6-1 Firsts 4-0
Acknowledge Country The committee of the East Gosford Rams, on behalf of the club, wanted to pay respect to our First Nations People and to elders, past, present and future and acknowledge country. To reinforce this resolve we recently commissioned (after consulting the Darkinjung Aboriginal Land Council) a young indigenous artist Shelby Thompson, with support and guidance from her mum Renee, to create an artwork which depicts the local area and the land we play on. The result from Shelby was amazing with the piece including the local waterway (Erina Creek) gatherings of people (players playing football) and other elements referencing the age of our club which is approaching 60 years. While the artwork will shortly be on display inside our clubhouse, we plan to incorporate elements of the design in some of our clothing and merchandise. We’re very excited to announce the release of a very special edition indigenous inspired club jacket. To complete the local theme, we selected a manufacturer right here in Erina and we thank ZBR Zibara for their quality workmanship. Modeled here by Shelby herself, the jacket is akin to a zip fronted hoodie. While it isn’t intended to be like a parka jacket for the snow, it is fleecy lined and very, very cosy! Call in and have a look. We think you'll be impressed. They are $86.00 each which is the cost to the club. We just want to see lots of people wearing them!
