LET’S HELP KATE
One of our favourite football family members Kate McCartin is currently facing the greatest challenge of all and is battling lymphoma. A band of special friends is going to man the BBQ this Saturday to raise some funds to help her in her fight. We’ll be accepting donations too so if you buy a sausage sandwich or drop a coin in the bucket we’d be very grateful indeed.
The brand new playing strip has arrived and is being distributed to all teams. We’d like to thank the terrific sponsors that enabled us to purchase the shirts. You will see their logos on every shirt so please remember who they are and support them whenever you can.

In grade football this week we enjoyed a clean sweep taking all 9 points from a very tough Sharks squad. Neither 3rds, reserves or 1sts had their own way however and Avoca made sure we earned every one of them. Particularly encouraging were 1sts who scored two late goals to go on to win 3-2. Brilliant! We’re at Budgewoi next week. Good luck boys.
MATTY SIMON RETURNS!
Our very own Matty Simon rejoins the Mariners! As reported by the Mariners “MUCH-LOVED marksman Matt Simon, 27, will re-join Central Coast Mariners for season nine of the Hyundai A-League after today signing a one-season deal with the Club.No stranger to Central Coast supporters, Simon left the Mariners in January 2012 for K-League Classic side Chunnam Dragons. However, an unfortunate string of injuries throughout his time in Korea Republic ended in him agreeing a mutual release from the ‘Dragons’ earlier this year.Eager to return to his brilliant, match-winning best, Simon has opted to return to the familiar surrounds of the Central Coast under the guidance of Graham Arnold and his astute staff.”Welcome back Matty,we missed you!
