Thinking about playing ’The World Game’ but not sure? Read on.... All about Football at the East Gosford Football Club Home of the Mighty Rams. We are one of 23 clubs on the Central Coast bringing the most popular game in the world to the local community. Completely run by volunteers in their spare (and sometimes not so spare) time. Kids need to be turning 5 in the calendar year to start playing and we cater for all abilities and all ages for boys and girls, men and women. The younger non-competition age groups (Under 5s through 9s) play in the southern area of the coast (From Umina in the South to Ourimbah in the North and Terrigal to Gosford East to West). After the under 9s the boundaries are Umina to Gwandalan and Mangrove Mountain. You might not have to travel that far though, it all depends which clubs are in your particular competition. Our home ground is Hylton Moore Park. Cnr Wattle and Althorp Streets East Gosford. We are one of the very few clubs fortunate enough to have our own clubhouse we can call home. Most other clubs have council facilities which they have to vacate in the summer.  Training occurs weekly at our home ground, usually one night for the littlies and 2 nights as they get older. Time depends on who coach is and when he or she is available to give up their time. We usually start in the first week of April and finish in August / September. (Training and trial games start in March) Costs are $35.00 for shorts and socks from the club, registration is $150.00 for non comp, $170.00 for juniors, $220.00 for adult full time students and $250.00 for adults (the extra charge for adults is an insurance component) Boots from around $40.00 and shinpads from $10.00 are compulsory and can be bought at many sports stores. Usually $2 to $5 per week after that for referee’s fees or when no referee (common in the younger age groups), a kitty builds up for an end of year party or whatever the parents / players decide. We're a family friendly club who take their football seriously but without losing sight of the joy of playing the game. We facilitate the game to all of our players whether they are playing ‘just for fun’ or have their sights set higher. We do our best to identify and develop those more talented players before sending them on to higher levels with our blessing. We endorse the Small Sided Football philosophy and endeavour to deliver the Football Australia curriculum to the best of our ability. Our successes are many and reputation excellent. Senior Trials and Training 2012 Registration Dates Saturday 4th and Saturday 11th February.  Gosford East Public School Hall. Webb St East Gosford. We’ll be there from 9am til 3pm. Keep an eye out for on-line registrations that will speed up the whole process for you. We are transferring to the Football Australia On-Line registration system and we’ll communicate the ins and outs to you as soon as we can. CCF announce changes for 2012 1. Small Sided Football for U10’s to be introduced for the 2012 season. 2. The Men’s Premier League competition will introduce a 3rd Grade to be played before Reserve Grade on a trial basis for 2012. This is for Men’s Premier League only. 3. There will not be a M21 competition in 2012. 4. A Women’s Over 30’s competition will be introduced in 2012. 5. The Pre-season Central Coast Cup to be extended to include Reserve grade. 6. O35, O45 and W30 will trial a refined Final series format for 2012 that sees the following- Semi Finals 1st v 4th and 2nd v 3rd Winners to Grand Final and Losers eliminated. 7. The re-introduction of Golden Goal to all final series in all grades except for Men’s Premier League, 1st Division and Women’s Premier League. East Gosford Rams Men’s Premier League 2012 training and trials for 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades: 6pm start Tuesdays & Thursdays at Woodport Primary School, Erina (bring joggers & boots) All new players to the club and U18 are welcome.
