About the Gala Day Our under 8s Gala Day is partly fund-raiser, but mostly a great fun day for the kids. We often hire jumping castles and get the mobile coffee cart and snow cone vendors in and run a raffle or two throughout the day as well. We have been hosting an under 8 gala day at our home ground for over 30 years. Other clubs (but not all) have gala days too and they are usually for the younger age groups due to the logistics of running a gala day on full sized fields for U11s and up. The games are 10 minutes each way with no half time and each team (we usually have 16 or sometimes if we get lots of entries, 24 teams) plays about 6 games. We have some of great teenage cadet referees to look after the refereeing duties. Every participant on the day takes home a quality memento of the day. How to Enter You can either use the on-line form below (preferred) or print the form , fill it out and email or post it to us. The cost per team is $100.00 and cheques should be sent to East Gosford Football Club PO Box 4079 East Gosford NSW 2250. If you intend mailing your entry form, please let us know you are doing so so you don’t miss out. Though pre-payment is preferred, payments via cash cheque or EFTPOS can be made on the day.
