" LETHAL LACHIE THE LEGEND"  RAMS4 Terrigal a couple less

WOW what a great season and to finish it this way on Lachie's 7th birthday too. These are the days you remember for ever. Weather played a huge part but this East Gosford club is the best club in the world, all the volunteers worked their butts off all day with Bretts team doing him proud and the day could not have happened without them.

Back to the main game and this Terrigal team maybe the 17th team in Terrigal under 7's but they were amazing with fair play and great skills shown. Annika started on fire and was all over the ball, marking and calling out to all her players and before Terrigal could blink she knocked in 2 great goals to take the lead 2 nil.She had some crunching tackles too.Great year AJ and as she is the only girl in all 6 teams I will give her the best girl player award. Terrigal got one back and game was tight. Aaron was on fire and scored one beauty and could have got more but for great defence from Terrigal. Aaron has been most improved player this year and the team has benefitted from this great man.Jack attack was in full force today showing great skill and good passing all day. Jack has been one of the competitions best players all year and scored many many goals, great year again Jack. Nathan was at his brilliant best for the last game today, a goal didn't happen but wow he had fun and his big kicks and defence were the high light of a great game.Best game of the season....

The toughest and trickiest man in the comp was Zak who had a blinder and a couple of passages you would be forgiven if you thought it was Lional Messi, this kid could be a youtube sensation if caught on film. Some kids like training more than games but not Zak, he loves the entertainment factor and loves the big stage, great year buddy a real champ!

Lachie has loved this team all year, always at training and never missing a game,he has been a real team player and the best listener a coach could want, his great skills and sportmanship has rubbed off on all the rest, this is a big reason for our undefeated 2nd half of the season. Mum asked for 7 goals today but not to be but had a blinder and looked great up on stage in his new shirt on his birthday.
Well that's it all over red rover,no more match reports.

Special thanks to Michelle and all the parents and families that turned up every week to training and games A big effort by all.Bye

' ZIPPY ZAK ZAPS ROOS'      RAMS Bobcats 5 ROOS  a couple more'

Perfect day for soccer again, 17 deg and sunny, a shame proper goal posts could not be supplied as they spent most of the time blowing around the ground. The field was bigger than normal which was great for both teams leading to an open and flowing game. A halftime 4-2 lead was great but could have been more. Momentum was stopped when the Roos number 3 played the second half and he alone scored 6 goals. Jack and his cousin for Roos were both awesome.Zippy Zac had his best game ever and deserved the trophy with his first ever Hat trick. Annika and Lachie tried their best spending a lot of time rolling around in the mud. Jumping Jack scored a couple beauties. With wind blowing goals around and put back all over the place the score would have been different.Nathan had a paced effort today with some great kicks and defence. Bye next week after 100 washed games, then one more game to end season..seeya at training Thursday...

Bobcats 3 Terrigal a couple more...

       ' Nippy Nathan nails Terrigal'

Another tough tussell with Terrigal today in cool conditions but the sun was out and we finally got a game. Luckily the kids kept their skills and fitness up with indoor training on Thursday with grounds closed again.Nathan played hard and tough today scaring Terrigal with his green hair, his defence was not pretty but he did not let anyone past once and deserved the certificate. Zippy Zac lost a bit of his Zip today being a bit sick and he hurt his knee in the car park before the game.  After retiring for the game with fatigue he then got a green hairspray and what would you know, he was able to play again like a wizard. Lightning Lachy was on the ball from start to finish teaming up with Annika several times and unlucky not to have scored more than one goal. At times Lachy was defender and attacker saving us from a big defeat. A half time lead was not enough with the wind against us in the second half and some of the holes in ground could lose a few kids in so ball control was hard. Aaron the Red Baron flew down his left wing cutting the Terrigal team to shreads and blasting one of the goals of the season into the net. It appeared one way traffic but then the wheels fell off as Terrigal switched into over drive and took control of the game. Again word spread about this Bobcat team and the crowd built to capacity as Annika's tackles could be heard in the Tiwi Islands! A solid display by the best girl on the ground deserving the trophy and grinning from ear to ear. Her secret was to smile at opposition and scare them with her no front teeth. Jumping Jack also scored one of the best goals you will ever see dodging and weaving past Terrigal then curling from right to left smashing into the back of the net, he probably should have had 4 goals if not for great Terrigal defence who always dropped 2 players back with great positional play. With a bye in 2 weeks we now only have 2 more games left weather permitting . See you on Thursday training

'Annika the Animal'  Bob Cats 6 Wyoming 5

Super game by all today with Brent stepping in as coach keeping the Bobcats amazing run going. Jack got an important hat trick again unlucky not to get more if their was no goalie. Annika had her best game again with one goal and some super big kicks before leaving early for a party. Aaron the magnificent again showed great attack getting 2 great goals and passing nicely. Zippy Zac had the crowd wooing with his magic tricks that were meant to be for training and not the game but they proved effective all game. Nathan had his normal strong game as we now have come to expect. Lachy was fast, elusive and effective with his whole game setting up Jack and Aaron for several goals, his defence proved the difference in another close win. Another great hard training session helped so expect the same on Thursday! see you then,Ross

'Aaron the Magnificent'  EGOS 9- SHARKS1

After several strong games and another good indoor training session the Bobcats were jumping out of their skins to play today in the best conditions in the history of soccer, ground was perfect ,sunny, no wind and a HUGE crowd. Annika, Lachy, Zac and Jack started the game with Nathan and Aaron ready to step in as first subs. Annika came out of the blocks peppering the goal like we have never seen before, scoring one and missing many, she was relentless and on a mission to snap the goal posts. Finally she got to play against a girl and this awesome Avoca team had 5 girls so she was very excited and it showed with her best game ever and getting the certificate . Zac was the backbone of the team today with  several goals set up by him. He passed twice thinking of his team and not himself resulting in 2 goals. Like we said to Jack, Nathan and Zac it's not only about scoring but team work. After last weeks hat trick for Jack he played a real team role this week by setting Lachy and Aaron up for 3 goals with some dazzling runs up the middle that no one could stop. Lachy was superb with 4 ripper goals as Mum asked for more. Lachy is really enjoying the support from his team which has also improved his game. Aaron had a man of the Match performance with a 4 goal haul also and one kick had the crowd gasping as it smashed into the cross bar moving the goals a metre back,Wow what a game,a match report can not do his game justice. Nathan defended well before we pushed him forward to try and crack a goal with one stopping at the line going so close several times. He also was doing back kicks and tricks showing off to the crowd.

see you all next week against Wyoming 24/7 11am

'JACKS HAT TRICK!'
East Gosford Bobcats 5 Gosford 1. Crowd 7,678 cold and windy.

Again the kids best game of the season. With all the cheering it sounded like the world cup. Each week getting better with all 6 players playing big part. Jack got the trophy for great sportsmanship and a few cracker goals all hit from long way out on the full which he had been practicing at training. Aaron for the third week in a row had a blinder and is loving his new team and getting the certificate.

Clearly the improvement in the team is due to the amazing improvement of Nathan and Aaron. Nathan tried harder than anyone yesterday for his first goal but it will happen soon,he didn't stop smiling whole game. Lachy came on and slotted 2 rippers in unlucky not to get 3rd but he doesn't have a left foot! Annika again had a great game desperate for a goal and passing nicely. Zac again took some big hits but battled on. Gosford were a great team to play and their coach and parents should be proud of their great sportsmanship. Their goal scorer was celebrating long and hard when they scored a great late goal..

Have a great holiday from happy coach.

East Gosford 'Bob Cats' VS Terrigal.....3-1 Win

After several weeks off I expected kids to be rusty..How wrong was I..Without doubt this was our best game in our 3 years as a team, also it might be our first win this year. This whole report could be about Nathan and his improvement,he not only played all game on fire and happy but he also got the trophy in front of Mum and Dad,We knew he had it in him and today all that hard training came together. Also equally improved was Aaron, he was the fastest kid on the field and could have played another game if needed, best game of the year by far today Aaron parents and everyone was so proud of you.

Lachy did his normal front to back running and great passing with Annika helping her score 2 goals and Annika got the certificate,a great performance from both. Jack smashed home the final goal deserving more but he had so much fun in front of Mum and Dad. A real family day today with all kids showing off beautifully to parents.Today was against the 17th Terrigal under 7 side who played  in the best spirit possible.

Great game both teams...Next week 11am at home against the 15th Terrigal under 7's

Match Report..8th May vs Wyoming 4-2 loss

Great game today against Wyoming. Great passing today had us in the game at half time 2 all. Most improved player this year Nathan was on fire going close to a goal. Lachy like normal defended and attacked non stop scoring a couple. Annika tried hard all game and was one of several sick players. Jack and Aaron worked well together scoring 1 each and tough Zak copped plenty of big hits and kept going all game. Wyoming scored a couple of late goals to grab a 4-2 win.

Trophy went to Annika today.
