Testimony to our Women's All Age 2s

Hello
My name is Mick Greentree and I am the Women's Co-Ordinator for Killarney District Soccer Club, and have held this position now for 3 years, What I am writing to you about is firstly to congratulate your WAA2 G/final win against my Killarney side, I was there to watch that game as my daughter plays in that team, but the main reason I am writing to you is the way your girls and E/Gosford supporters handled themselves, your club should be extremely proud of them, I have not seen sportsmanship like this for a long time, your spectators after fulltime stood up and applauded Killarney and Congratulated them for a great game, and then to top that off after the presentation your girls were having a team photo they yelled out to the Killarney girls to join them for the photo as they deserved to be there as well, I also took a photo of both teams together which I have attached for you as well, could you please pass on my thanks to your Committee, team and club supporters for the great sportsmanship they showed, I have never been so proud, as I was then to be involved in women's football, I have asked my committee as well as CCF to post this photo our website to show what a great Team/club that you are,

Yours in Women's Football

Here's a great photo we'd like to share...
Zak Combes Under 16A Keeper nudging a Wyong Free-Kick over the bar. The game ended nil all, Wyong were the League Champions in the 16A's so it was a great final effort, best performance of the year, with the team finishing just one win out of the finals.

'Our U/9C's had a great day at the Gosford Gala day on the 5th July 09. We got through the round robin section of group 4 in second place. The top two teams going through to the semi finals.

Our semi was against the top team of Group B which was Wyoming who were undefeated. The boys were down 1 nil going into the second half, but the boys showed great determination to come back to win 2-1 and move into the grand final. The grand final was against Woy Woy who had beaten us earlier that day 3-1. Once again we were down by one in the second half and again the boys didn't give up and won 3-1.

The grand final was a great game with all the parents getting involved on the sideline, it was a great atmosphere. Every one of the boys played well all day and showed they can come back from difficult situations which is what we were most proud of. A big thanks to all the parents for their great support. A special mention to Ollie and Patrick who helped us out a lot.

Well done boys!'

SEU GALA DAY 9/8/09 EAST GOSORD 8'1S DAY.
PLAYERS:Cooper,Callum,Jeremy,Hayden,Mason,James,Liam,Deckland,Jacob,Tyler,Reece,Abbey
Goal scorers Liam 1,Jacob 1, Hayden 1, Reece 1, Jeremy 1, Callum 1.Weather 19 deg ,wind 0 to 5 knots, ground condition dry and perfect. Crowd 18019 sold out. East Gosford 3 wins 2 losses.
Game 1 Kincumber 1 East Gosford 0. Top game with end to end action. Plenty of chances from both teams with Kincumber stealing a late goal to win 1 nil. Fill-ins Jacob, Deckland and Tyler mesmerized the opposition all game. Unlucky not to score was Liam who brought his A game today. Top games also from Callum, Hayden, Reece and James in goals.
Game 2 Umina 3 East Gosford 1. Always a tough game against the number 1 world ranked team and to be leading after 7 minutes 1 nil was great. It however awoke an angry bear and Umina stormed home with a 3 .1 win. Great games from Abbey, Mason, Liam, Deckland and Jeremy.
Game 3 East Gosford 1 Kanwal 0. An early solo goal from Callum with a Mariner like finish was enough for a much deserved win.Kanwal came back hard and only great goal keeping kept us in with a win. Player of match Callum a stand out followed by Jacob, James, Hayden and Mason.
Game 4 East Gosford 2 Terrigal 1. Always a tough game as this team beat the unbeatable Umina. An early goal to Terrigal and a half time lead of 1 nil would mean a tough 2nd half. A half time speech by Stewart pumped the team up and a early screamer from Jeremy and a late cracker from Jacob sealed an amazing win. Stand outs were Jeremy, Jacob, James, Cooper and Liam. Solid games from Hayden, Abbey, Callum, Mason, and Reece .
Game 5. East Gosford 1 Berkerly Vale 0 .A very even tussle and end to end action was exciting to watch .Abbey again was unlucky not to score with many chances in last 3 games. A late goal from Hayden scoring a screamer in dying minutes from a pin point cross would snatch victory. Reece also scored a ripper in last minute but ref missed it. Great game from super Deckland having his best game. Top game from Hayden, Reece, Liam, Cooper, Abbey, Callum, Jeremy and James.
Overall a great day, great games, great sportsmanship and great managing from Paul and coaching from Stewart. Well done SEU.

Our Junior VP, Matt McCarthy travelled to Nepal earlier in the year to help build homes for the underprivileged. He played a couple of games on a pitch not disimilar to some of ours. I think we take goal post saftey more seriously though!

After he returned, he sent some donated (and much appreciated) playing strip and spare boots to help them look professional. Nice work Matt.

Central Coast Cup
Our wonderful 9As played in a curtain raiser on Wednesday night at Plium Park before the CCF Cup Grand Final. Our mighty nines had their first experience playing on a full sized pitch and with a couple of extra players too. They had a teriffic match against our favourite foe Kincumber and everyone had a great time.

Some of our members had a slap up holiday in Indonesia somewhere a little while back. Its taken only
a couple of weeks for these photos to be leaked to the Rams. Early rumors indicate there may be
some O35s involved but we're not convinced. Our boys are real men.
(Then again real men can wear the green and white of the Mighty Rams any way they want!) Right boys? Boys?

Our teriffic supporters East Gosford Community Bank, Bendigo Bank have continued to support us in 2009.
At the last Bendigo Bank AGM our Treasurer Graeme Williams and President Brett Wright were on hand to receive a cheque from Manager Michael Bell and Director Bob Rudd for $1,500. We thank Bendigo Bank very much for their generosity.
Pictured with the NSW Minister for Sport and Recreation Kevin Greene and local member Marie Andrews, are representatives from The Rams (Rooster, Nugget, Graeme and Brett), and other local sports clubs. We were successful in our application for grant funding to the tune of $1,282 to pay for training equipment.
