2016 is off to a great start!
And finally, why its worth all the hard work
Day 1 2016 Setting up at Paddy Clifton
Thanks for the help kids we appreciate it!
2016 is Finally Underway! Thanks to all the committee and helpers, mums and dads, coaches and managers and all the wonderful people that make it all happen. The countless volunteer hours allow our kids to participate in the beautiful game. Well done everyone and enjoy!
Week 2 was brilliant weather wise. We had some mixed results this round with 16 Wins, 6 Draws and 18 Losses. We scored a total of 109 goals and had 101 scored against us. Our Men’s 16As played each other for the first time and while the one’s overcame the two’s, it was a game played in great spirit by all the boys. The only real blight on the weekend was the unfortunate dropping of an egg at the BBQ. Who could it have been? A clue….. This was the first egg he’s dropped in 6 years of BBQ-ing excellence. Our Mini Roos take a break for the middle weekend of the schools holidays this Saturday. We’ll see you back on the 23rd.
Rams Wrap Saturday saw history with the Men’s 45Bs securing a win over arch rivals Avoca. Starting with only 10 men they played a patient game and let the ball do most of the work. As their 11th player arrived and finally a deperately needed substitute they gradually turned up the heat. Though conceding after 30 minutes they levelled seconds before the break and finished them off late in the second half. Sweet!

Men’s 18s
Men’s All Age Pluim Park became Ram’s HQ on Sunday as CCF generously allocated games to the home of football on the Central Coast. The MAA9-1s narrowly lost to Kariond while the MAA9-2s made amends and towelled up Southern. The MAA7s loved the rain and showed Budgie how it’s done. Douggie Coates dropped in for a look and club favourite Daniel made a cameo appearance to help out too.
Great to see Doug and Daniel out and about!
It’s great to be home!  Thanks to Gosford City Council for the terrific work on our fields. The pitches looked amazing and were great to play on.
SeaFM Women’s Premier League, Mens All Age 6 (1 and 2) and some emergency line marking!
Amazing weather only a couple of weeks out from Winter. We’ll take that!
Many hands make light work! Sort of……

Supporters from the Rams and the Dragons played nicely on the verandah. Good work girls!
The weekend belonged to our SeaFM Women’s Premier League 1st grade team who defetaed competition heavyweights, Gosford Dragons. Congratulations girls, you earned it with a tenacious display!
We entertained about 1000 people at Paddy Clifton Oval on Sunday at our annual Under 8 Gala Day. The kids were exhausted but happy and the parents had a great day out as well. Fabulous weather, jumping castles and treats from Harrington’s Entertainment, yummy BBQ food, excellent refereeing by our cadets and wonderful support from our volunteers all added up to a brilliant event. Thanks so much to all. Looking forward to the next one already!
We Macarena’d, we Nutbushed, we Chicken Danced and we Hokey Pokeyed! Another great disco night and everyone had a great time. Thanks to Matt for the tunes and Phabulous Phil for being our MC.
We’d like to introduce Rudy the Ram! Rudy has just signed on with the Rams and he’ll be out and about cheering on our fabulous teams. He loves having his photo taken too!  Keep an eye out for him and don’t forget to say g’day.
How exciting it was to be one of the few grounds to open for play on Sunday. The new drainage is fabulous but not indestructable so after a morning of all age games the decision was made to close to preserve the playing surface and protect the new drainage system. Unfortunately our SWL Reserves were up 3-0 at half time when the call was made so we’ll most likely have to have a replay.
Does the new drainage work?
After 50mm of rain and a couple of dry days in 2011
After 200mm of rain…. Ready to play on 2 days later!
The car park hasn’t changed much… we think it is worse!
Whoever said the girls aren’t as serious as the boys didn’t watch them play this week! Our SeaFM Premier League do battle with Gosford.
Woy Woy worked hard enough to take home some points but we were too strong. Good job boys.
The boys ran riot over Budgewoi and secured a berth in Premier League for 2017! We’re back!!! We had 3 youngsters helping in our SeaFM Women’s Premier League teams too and didn’t they go well!
League Champions with 3 games to go? Well done boys! (The big Green Rams are… back on the road again)
Penalty Time! The SWL Preimer League were too good for Terrigal. Good woork girls.

Well done Div 1 boys. Another strong performance this week against Woongarrah.
Women’s Premier League
We had a terrific tussle with table leaders The Entrance this week. We coudn’t take any points off them but two great games played in perfect conditions in a great spirit made for a great day. Good luck in the finals Entrance girls. Unlike last year when Reserve Grade swept all before them we finished 5th in that comp. 1sts also narrowly missed out on a finals berth finishing 5th as well. We turn to next next season now when we’ll be bigger and stronger. Congratulations for participating in the inaugural SeaFM Women’s Premier League / Division 1 format. We think it’s a winner and hopefully here to stay.
Who dropped the frog!
Congratulations Mens 15Bs! Premiers 2016! That’s how you win a penalty shootout!
premiers!!! No1 Supporter! MAA7 Runners Up Extra Time Winners!!
Men’s Division 1     Premier League!
Reserve grade had all the possession but as often happens in finals football, they failed to put one away and were caught on a break. They bow out of the finals race with their heads held high as they know we’re back in MPL 1 next season… Yeeew! 1st grade were not going to be denied and put in a first half that was fast, furious and entertaining. With one in the bag before the break we thought we’d need more to seal the victory but that was how it ended up after a scrappy second half. We’ll take that!
Grand Final time! We take on the Roos again and we reckon we’ll be a whole lot tougher this time! Go you mighty Rams.
